1. We agree not to share the dataset with any third parties, including not sharing or publishing the download link.
    
2. We agree that future publications which rely on the dataset should acknowledge the source of the dataset as Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) Melbourne Australia.
    
3. We agree that one team member attends the HUMS2025 conference to present the results
    
4. We agree to accept the findings of the judging panel and other challenge rules as communicated
    
5. For fairness, the following persons are ineligible to enter the data challenge:
    
   • HUMS2025 Conference Committee Members, their staff, and the judging panel
      
   • DSTG-PHM group who generated the dataset
      
6. We agree to submit results by 11:59 AEST 30^th January 2025, to allow the judging to start. Late submissions may be ineligible for awards or prizes.
    
7. We agree to use the open Question and Answer process:
    
   • all Data Challenge correspondence should be sent to the DSTG.HUMSConference@defence.gov.au
      
   • in the interest of fairness, anonymized question and replies may be published on the Questions–Answers page.
      

By entering an individual or team to the challenge and downloading the dataset, the above terms and conditions are accepted.

Due to scheduling requirements, registration closed to new Data Challenge teams on 31^st October 2025. Registered challengers can contact the HUMS Committee email address for issues. Do not include links to external hosted cloud services as they may be stripped from the email and blocked. Extensions are by explicit arrangement only.
